Free Music: Jazz in St. Germain

Lovers of jazz, soul and blues are in for a treat as Saint-Germain-des-Pres hosts its twelfth edition of Festival Jazz À Saint Germain from this Sunday, May 20th-June 3rd. Though some of the concerts cost a nominal fee, many of the events are absolutely free!

You can take in an afternoon featuring the newest up-and-coming female jazz artists at Place Saint-Germain-des-Pres (and catch Ndidi O, above); enjoy the romantic tunes of the Raphaele Atlan Trio; even check out the gutsy performances of amateur jazz bands. If you don't mind paying 10€, you can even sample from this jazz-and-chocolate-tasting! Personally, I want to hit up as many free shows as I can, especially this one in the Luxembourg Gardens. How lovely will that be (if the weather cooperates)?
